Hi, I am ZacThe Story Behind Refined by Zac
Beauty should feel like you, not a copy of someone else's Pinterest board.
I'm most inspired by timeless, romantic weddings with an elevated, intentional design — soft textures, beautiful florals, thoughtful details, a celebration that feels effortlessly elegant rather than trendy. My goal with every bride is the same: create a hairstyle that will look just as beautiful in twenty years as it does on the wedding day.
Beauty is part of it. But the real reason I love this work is the mornings themselves — getting ready together, throwback playlists, laughing, everyone in one room before everyone walks down the aisle. I feel lucky to be a small part of that.

Your Journey to Refined Hair Begins Right Here
I combine creativity, technical expertise, and a personal touch to ensure every style is meaningful, refined, and timeless.
Together, we will craft a look that captures your unique story — and holds through every hour of the day it was made for.
The beginning
For me, hair isn’t just about styling; it’s about the moments and the people it belongs to. What began as a simple curiosity evolved into a lifelong passion. Over the years I’ve honed my craft, continuously learning and growing, pushing myself past the obvious version of a look. I discovered that the essence of great hair lies in its ability to make you feel something — confident, romantic, completely like yourself.
The result of the journey
As I continue to grow in my craft, I’ve had the privilege of working with many incredible brides, bridal parties and families, creating looks that carry through the whole of a day. Today my work is driven by the desire to help others feel their most elevated on the mornings that matter most. It is my mission to give you an exceptional experience, and hair that will look just as beautiful in twenty years as it does on the day.
My Mission
To treat the essence of your significant moments with care — whether it’s a wedding, an event, or a single afternoon in the chair — aiming to give you hair that feels joyful and meaningful for years to come.
What you can trust me with
I'll always be honest about what will work best for your hair, while listening closely to what makes you feel beautiful. Whether that means a gloss, a haircut, extensions, or simply adjusting an inspiration photo to suit your face and texture — every recommendation comes from wanting you to look and feel like the most elevated version of yourself.
My job isn't to change who you are. It's to elevate what's already there.
THE BRIDAL PROCESS
How this works
-
A trial isn't required, but it's where we get your look exactly right. We meet at my salon suite anywhere from one to six months before the wedding, and it includes a clear gloss and blowdry. Bring your inspiration photos — I'll be honest about what will hold, and adjust anything that doesn't suit your face or texture.
-
I come to you. The timeline is built around your first look and ceremony times, with about 60–75 minutes for you and 35–45 minutes for each person in your party. Hair should arrive clean and completely dry. For larger parties or tighter timelines, trusted assistant stylists join me.
-
Longevity is decided before the day — in the trial, in whether we add extensions, and in how the style is built. Clip-in rentals are available if you want more density or length. Then I stay on site for the last 15–20 minutes of the ceremony or photos for touch-ups, so it looks the same walking out as it did walking in.
If someone says "Zac did my hair," I want that to mean: she felt completely cared for, the morning felt relaxed and fun, and her hair looked elegant, effortless, and lasted all day.
